Telex introduces the Stratus Heli-XT: our first active noise reduction headset for helicopter pilots
The market leader in aviation headsets, Telex is the brand of choice for more than 70 percent of commercial pilots. Installed as standard equipment on Boeing, Cessna, Falcon, Gulfstream, and other aircraft, Telex products have proven their performance, reliability, and comfort on the world’s largest fleets.
Now, with the Stratus Heli-XT, Telex has channeled all its expertise in the commercial and general aviation fixed-wing markets to create a headset that specifically addresses the needs of helicopter pilots and passengers.
Equipped with a host of unique features (see below), the Stratus Heli-XT is the result of a rigorous R&D program, including extensive field-testing with major helicopter fleet operators in U.S. and international markets. Feedback from the field was overwhelmingly positive: pilots found the Stratus Heli-XT superior in every respect to their current headsets, in terms of noise protection, comfort, and audio performance.
Superior Noise Protection
Telex pioneered Active Noise Reduction (ANR) technology in aviation headsets and now we’ve taken hearing protection a step further with noise reduction technology for the helicopter pilot. The Stratus Heli-XT cancels harmful, low-frequency noises common in helicopters that other headsets can’t block.
Comfort
In a helicopter, everyone wears a headset. Telex’s patented ComfortCam™ system allows you to adjust your headset for a custom fit. It alleviates clamping, no matter how long you wear the headset.
FlexPower™
An advanced power management system which gives pilots the option to power the headset via the helicopter panel, standard alkaline batteries, or rechargeable batteries (includes built-in recharging system). Provides 50 hours of battery life. Also features cell phone connector and stereo music interface jack.
Individual volume controls for each ear cup accommodate individual preferences.
Coiled cord and TP-120, U-174/U equivalent plug.
Ear cups include foam seals and two-directional pivoting to conform to the shape of the head – even around eyewear – and evenly distribute weight, minimizing “hot spots” and pressure on the ears. |
