A PLB should be used only in situations of Grave and Imminent Danger or "life threatening situations".
Transmits on 406 MHz via COSPAS-SARSAT satellite system with your registered unique, digitally coded distress signal and 121.5 MHz (SAR homing frequency).

Single, three-position switch for simplicity. Red LED flashing indicates unit is "ON", Yellow LED flashing indicates test sequence in process, steady green LED indicates unit has passed full functional test.
